  1. In a large bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar using an electric hand mixer.

  2. Mash up bananas and add them to the butter mixture along with eggs and vanilla extract. Beat until well combined.

  3. Sift all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg into the bowl. Mix together at low speed.

  4. Add old-fashioned rolled oats along with semisweet chocolate chips. Mix everything together with a spatula.

  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop out mounds of the cookie dough using a medium cookie scoop.

  6. Optional: round the dough into balls or top with chocolate chips.

  7. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-9 minutes.
