Broccoli Cheddar Soup
Found mistake?
  1. In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter. Add onion and celery and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, 7 to 9 minutes.

  2. Whisk in flour and cook, stirring, until vegetables are coated, about 1 minute. Slowly pour in broth; season with salt and pepper.

  3. Stir in broccoli and carrots. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender, 8 to 12 minutes.

  4. Slowly add milk and bring to a simmer. Stir in cheddar until melted and smooth; season with salt and pepper.

  5. Divide soup among bowls. Top with more cheddar.
