In a medium saucepan, combine ½ cup of unsalted butter, 2 cups of heavy whipping cream, and 4 ounces of cream cheese. Whisk these ingredients together over medium heat until they are fully melted.
Next, add ½ teaspoon of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, ¼ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper. Continue whisking until the mixture is smooth.
Gradually incorporate 1 cup of freshly grated parmesan cheese into the sauce. Allow the mixture to come to a simmer, whisking continuously for about 3-5 minutes, or until it thickens.
Once thickened, toss the sauce with your favorite pasta and serve it immediately.
