Cabbage And Lentil Curry Soup Recipe
Found mistake?
  1. Add the oil to a large soup pot and bring the heat to medium.

  2. Add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds and stir for 1 minute.

  3. Now, add the onion, garlic, and ginger and cook for about 5 minutes.

  4. Add the coriander, ground cumin, turmeric, garam masala, and chili powder. Stir for 1 minute to coat the aromatics.

  5. Now, add the carrot and red pepper and cook for about 5 minutes.

  6. Add the cabbage and stir for 1 minute.

  7. Add the lentils, tomatoes, broth, salt, and black pepper.

  8. Bring to a boil, cover, then simmer for 20–25 minutes, or until the lentils are tender.

  9. Add the lemon juice, optionally top with chopped cilantro, and serve.
