Homemade Chocolate Chip Muffins
Found mistake?
  1. Move the oven rack to the middle position and preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Place liners in the muffin tin.

  3. In a large bowl whisk together the dry ingredients, and reserve 2 Tablespoons of the dry mixture in a small bowl.

  4. Pour the oil into a 1 cup glass measuring cup.

  5. Beat the egg and add it to the oil.

  6. Fill the measuring cup to the 1 cup mark with milk.

  7. Beat the wet ingredients until well combined.

  8. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until combined, but don’t over mix.

  9. Add the chocolate chips to the bowl and sprinkle the chocolate chips with the reserved dry mixture.

  10. Gently fold the chocolate chips into the batter.

  11. Divide batter among the muffin wells, filling them about ⅔ full.

  12. Bake for 15-20 or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  13. Cool the muffins for at least 20 minutes.

  14. Serve the muffins warm or at room temperature.
