Instant Pot Traditional Kapusta: Sauerkraut And Peas
Found mistake?
  1. Using a colander, rinse the dried peas well.

  2. Arrange the peas in an even layer on the bottom of the Instant Pot.

  3. Add 2 cups of water.

  4. Layer the drained sauerkraut on top.

  5. Seal the Instant Pot and set it to Manual on High Pressure for 20 minutes.

  6. On low heat, fry the chopped onion in 2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil until soft and not browned.

  7. Add flour and cook for a few minutes until thickened.

  8. After the cooking time is up, wait 10 minutes and release the pressure from the Instant Pot.

  9. Mix the flour-onion mixture into the sauerkraut and peas.

  10. Mix in the chopped garlic.
