Sprinkle gelatin over the cold water in a mug or bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes until thick and spongy.
Add hot water and stir thoroughly until the gelatin dissolves completely and the mixture becomes smooth.
Add optional lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, honey, or salt and stir again.
Drink warm 15–30 minutes before a meal or refrigerate for 2–4 hours to form cubes.
