Slow Cooker Smoky Chipotle BBQ Pulled Chicken
  1. Put the chicken breasts into the crockpot.

  2. In a bowl, mix:

    BBQ sauce

    adobo sauce

    minced chipotle pepper

    brown sugar

    vinegar

    smoked paprika

    garlic powder

    onion powder

    salt and pepper

  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken and turn the chicken once so it’s coated.

  4. Add the tablespoon of butter on top.

  5. Cook:

    LOW: about 4–5 hours

    HIGH: about 2.5–3 hours

  6. Chicken breasts dry out if overcooked, so start checking early.

  7. Shred the chicken directly in the crockpot with two forks.

  8. Let it sit in the sauce another 10–15 minutes after shredding so it absorbs flavor.
