Caramelized Onions - Dutch Oven Method
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Melt butter in the Dutch oven, add onions and salt. Toss to thoroughly coat.

  3. Place in oven with a lid and every 30 minutes stir for the first 2 hours.

  4. After that, remove lid and stir every 15 to 30 minutes depending on the color.
