Baked Salmon With Za'atar And Avocado Salsa

Egyptian avocado salsa

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.

  3. Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon fillets.

  4. Sprinkle the za'atar evenly over each fillet.

  5. Season with cracked black pepper and salt to taste.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  7. Once the salmon is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

  8. Spoon the Egyptian avocado salsa over each salmon fillet.

  9. Make the salsa. In a medium bowl, combine the diced avocado, tomatoes, chopped jalapeño, and finely diced red onion.

  10. Add the chopped cilantro.

  11. Squeeze the juice of ½ to 1 lime over the mixture, depending on your taste preference.

  12. Season with salt and cracked black pepper to taste. Gently toss all the ingredients together until well combined.
