Combine the butter and flour into crumbs and stir through the sugar.
Combine the Buttermilk and vanilla and heat gently if required.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients with a knife.
DO NOT OVERMIX OR KNEAD.
Flatten on a floured surface and cut into Scones.
Transfer onto a lined baking tray, brush with Buttermilk and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake on 200°c for up to 20 minutes, depending on the size of the Scones.
