Place 1 lb raw chicken tenders (tenderloins) in a pot. Cover with cold water until the water covers the chicken about ½-1". Cover the pot with a lid.
Bring the water to a boil on high heat. As soon as the water starts to bubble, turn the stovetop temperature down to medium-low. With the lid on, continue to cook the chicken tenders for 2-3 more minutes until the chicken is through and the internal temperature is at least 160-162 F.
Use the chicken in recipes calling for pre-cooked chicken whether it's shredded chicken or sliced chicken like salads, soups, or casseroles. Enjoy!
