Gingerbread cake
  1. Blend sugar, butter, and beaten egg.

  2. Add molasses, then blend well.

  3. Mix in flour, baking soda, cinnamin, allspice, and raisins

  4. Pour in hot water.

  5. Beat until smooth; batter will be thin.

  6. Pour into greased 9x13 inch pan.

  7. Bake at 325° for 30 to 35 minutes.
