Homemade Cheesy Bread
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, warm water and active yeast. Give it a nice stir.

  2. Set aside for 10 minutes and then add all purpose flour and salt. Mix together until you get a googey consistency for your dough.

  3. Cover your bowl of dough and let the dough rise for an hour.

  4. Once risen, oil hands and massage the dough.

  5. Add in 1 TBSP of garlic salt and everglades and massage those in as well.

  6. Oil a deep dish baking sheet and place your dough in the sheet. Spread out so it covers the entire surface of the sheet.

  7. Cover the dough and set aside. Preheat oven to 350°F .

  8. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, 1 TBSP garlic salt, and garlic powder. Then spread over top of dough.

  9. Make some holes with your finger tips throughout the surface so the butter gets into the dough when it's baking. This allows for it to be more flavorful and for the bread to turn out flatter so you're not getting an arched loaf of bread.

  10. Add optional topping of Parlsey.

  11. Place entire dish in the oven. Let bake for 15 minutes.

  12. Remove after 15 minutes and add your selected shredded cheese on top. This is supposed to be eye balled - if you want it cheesier, add more cheese across the surface of your bread.

  13. Put back in the oven on broil until the cheese has a soft brown surface. Enjoy!!
