Add garlic powder and taco seasoning to the beef, mix well.
Incorporate rice, beef broth, corn, tomato sauce, and salsa, mix thoroughly.
Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is cooked.
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, cover and let melt for 2-3 minutes.
