Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
Put all cake ingredients into a bowl and mix together until it forms a smooth batter.
Spread mixture in a 15x30cm rectangular dish and dot with drained fruit.
Mix all Frangipane ingredients together, adding more almonds to form a loose paste. Spoon onto mixture alongside the fruit. Scatter sliced almonds over the top.
Bake at 180 deg for 25-30 mins.
Serve dusted with icing sugar, custard, icecream, cream, etc etc.
