Hibiscus Simple Syrup
  1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Heat up mixture, stirring frequently to dissolve sugar.

  3. When sugar has dissolved and mixture is starting to bubble around the edges, stir in the hibiscus flowers and turn off the heat.

  4. Let sit for 15 minutes, then strain into a measuring cup.

  5. After it cools, pour into a jar or swing-top bottle, and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
