Vegetarian Tostadas with Umami Dressing

  1. Cook the Fake Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, add a little oil and cook the fake meat crumbles according to package instructions. Once cooked, add half of the umami dressing to the crumbles and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld. Set aside.

  2. Prepare the Refried Beans: In a small saucepan, warm the refried beans over medium heat until heated through. Stir in the remaining umami dressing and mix well.

  3. Assemble the Tostadas: Spread a layer of the umami-flavored refried beans on each tostada shell. Top with a layer of the seasoned fake meat crumbles. Add shredded lettuce and sprinkle with shredded cheese. Optionally, add avocado slices and salsa or pico de gallo for extra flavor and texture.
