Matthew Bounds' Chicken n' Sausage Bread
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees

  2. In a wide pan over medium high heat, brown the sausage and set aside/

  3. Add the butter, onion and pepper to the pan with the sausage fat and saute till tender. Turn the heat to low and throw the flour in and stir well to combine, cooking for a couple minutes and keeping it moving!

  4. Turn the heat to a simmer, add the stock and once incorporated and it begins to thicken and simmer, pour in the milk. At this point, add any seasoning you'd like. I use salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Tony Cahcere's.

  5. Put the sausage and chicken in the pan and stir to coat with the sauce. Add the cream cheese and mix until it's melted. The consistency should be pretty thick at this point. If it's too thick to work with, add more milk.

  6. Pull of the heat and arrange the crescent rolls in a circle on a baking sheet, with the points facing out. You should form a ring. Add the filling in the middle and fold the points over. Scramble the egg and brush over the top of the crescent ring and bake for 25 minutes.
