  1. In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.

  2. In the bowl of a KitchenAid stand mixer fitted with a paddle, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.

  3. Mix in eggs and vanilla.

  4. Add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  5. Fold in chocolate until dispersed.

  6. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.

  7. Heat oven to 375ºF.

  8. Using a 1½-ounce (45-gram) scoop, scoop dough onto a parchment-lined sheet tray.

  9. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until golden.
