Sock-it-to-me Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Cake

½ cup sugar

¾ cup Wesson (canola) oil

4 eggs

3 tsp cinnamon

1 box yellow cake mix

8 ounces sour cream

3 tsp brown sugar

½ cup chopped pecans

Frosting

11 ounces cream cheese, softened

¾ cup butter, softened

16 ounces powdered sugar, sifted

1 ½ tsp vanilla extract

Cake

Mix sugar, cake mix, sour cream, Wesson oil and eggs and pour ½ of mixture into tube pan.
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon and chopped pecans.
Over cake mix that is in pan, scatter ½ of brown sugar mix and swirl with knife blade.
Pour remainder of cake dough in pan and scatter remainder of brown sugar mix over this and swirl again with knife blade.
Bake in preheated 325° oven for 1 hour or until cake is done.
Frosting
Beat first 3 ingredients at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth.
Gradually add powdered sugar, beating at low speed until light and fluffy.
Stir in vanilla.
