This classic shrimp scampi recipe is a perfect Sunday treat, combining the rich flavors of garlic and butter with a hint of lemon and fresh herbs. It’s quick to prepare and makes a luxurious dish that’s great for a cozy dinner.
Ingredients:
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Remove the shrimp and set aside. In the same skillet, pour in the white wine (or broth) and bring to a simmer, scraping up any bits stuck to the pan.
Stir in the remaining butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Let the sauce simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
Add the cooked linguine or spaghetti to the skillet and mix until well combined.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with a sprinkle of Parmesan, if desired.
