Season with crushed red peppers, cayenne, a small amount of salt, and fresh crushed pepper.
Simmer the bean mixture for 5-7 minutes.
Add the Parmesan cheese.
Simmer for another 5-7 minutes.
Serve the bean mixture over a side of rice, quinoa, or other preferred grain.
Add spinach (optional).
