Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer and cook for 10 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the air fryer and flip each piece over.
Spray the chicken with oil again and return it to the air fryer at 200°C for another 10 minutes.
If using the Ninja Kitchen air fryer, set it to max crispy at 240°C for 8 minutes instead.
Add the basil leaves to the chicken and cook for an additional 2 minutes at 200°C.
