Ingredients:
• 1 cup self-rising flour
• 2 cups All Purpose flour
(OR - 3 cups All Purpose flour & 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder)
• 1-2 teaspoons salt
• 1 cup shortening (Crisco) - may use vegan stick butter instead.
• ¾ cup Ice Water
Mix the flours and baking powder if using, and salt.
Add the shortening or vegan butter and use fingers to rub into flour until crumbly or sandy
Pour in half cup of ice water, mix through and add more water as needed until it comes together as a ball.
