English Muffins
  1. Whisk together the warm milk, honey, and melted butter in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Sprinkle quick rise yeast on top and let it sit for 5 minutes until slightly foamy.

  3. Whisk the yeast mixture together, then add egg and whisk again.

  4. Pour in flour and of salt. Stir until a sticky dough forms.

  5. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  6. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and spread it evenly to about ½-1 inch thick.

  7. Use a mason jar or cup to cut out circles of the dough.

  8. Cook the muffins in a cast iron skillet over low heat, covered, for 6 minutes per side.
