Hash-Brown Casserole
  1. In a medium, microwave-safe bowl, microwave butter on High for 20 to 30 seconds, until melted. Add sour cream and stir to combine. Add Cheddar cheese, salt, onion powder and pepper; stir well to combine.

  2. Blend in frozen hash browns, then place in a large bowl. Add sour cream mixture and ham; stir to combine.

  3. Place in a 13- by 9-inch (33 by 23 cm) baking dish and spread out with the back of a large spoon until top is smooth. Sprinkle with parsley.

  4. MAKE IT NOW: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake casserole in covered oven for 45 to 55 minutes or until bubbly all over and top is golden brown.

  5. MAKE IT A FREEZER MEAL: Cover assembled dish with plastic wrap, pressing down gently to remove air. Cover with foil, label and freeze.

  6. THAW AND COOK: Place dish in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours or up to 24 hours to thaw. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Remove foil and plastic wrap. Bake casserole in preheated oven for 55 to 60 minutes or until bubbly all over and top is golden brown.
