Mix egg and milk together
Dip the onion in flour, then in the egg and milk mixture, removing excess flour
Sprinkle generously with breadcrumbs, ensuring they cover the entire onion, and remove excess
Spray the air fryer base with oil
Spray oil on the prepared onion
Air fry at 190°C (374°F) for 20 minutes
While cooking, prepare the dipping sauce by mixing mayonnaise, sour cream or Greek yogurt, ketchup, dried garlic, sweet paprika, dried chives, and salt to taste
Serve the blooming onion with the dipping sauce
