  1. Pat dry, cut in thick slices and fry in oil on both sides.

  2. Finely chop garlic and spring onion.

  3. Mix the chili flakes, sesame oil, soy sauce, water, and syrup or sugar.

  4. Add the sauce to the tofu.

  5. Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
