Easy Air Fryer Chocolate Cake Recipe (super Fluffy Result!)
  1. Line the base of a 8cm deep, 20cm (base size) cake pan with baking paper.

  2. Combine milk and coffee in a large jug. Stir well to dissolve coffee. Add oil, water and eggs, and use a fork to whisk until well combined.

  3. Combine flours, sugar and bicarb in a large bowl. Sieve cocoa over the top and stir to combine. Make a well in the centre. Add the milk mixture and stir until well combined.

  4. Pour into the prepared pan. Place pan in the basket of an air fryer and bake at 140°C for 1 hour or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.

  5. Stand cake in the pan for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

  6. Meanwhile, to make the buttercream frosting, use electric beaters to beat butter in a bowl until pale and creamy.

  7. Gradually add icing sugar mixture, beating constantly, until combined.

  8. Beat in melted chocolate, until combined. Beat in cocoa and milk until well combined.

  9. Spread the frosting over the top of the cake, creating a textured surface, to serve.
