Śledzie Po Królewsku
  1. Rinse Herring and soak in cold water or milk for about 1-2 hours to soften the salty taste

  2. Cut Herring Dry and cut into strips

  3. Prepare Leek: cut into thin slices and pour boiling water over them. Let sit for 10min

  4. Drain Leek

  5. Cut the apple and pickled cucumbers into thin strips

  6. Drain peas from the can

  7. Combine Ingredients: Mayonnaise, cream, mustard, vinegar or lemon juice

  8. Season the sauce with pepper and possibly a pinch of salt

  9. Mix Ingredients: herring, leek, pea, apple, cucumber, parsley

  10. Add Sauce to herring

  11. Refrigerate so that the flavors bite through

  12. Add hard-boiled eggs before serving
