Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the cold liquid and let it sit for 5 minutes until thick and spongy.
Pour in boiling water and stir slowly until the gelatin fully dissolves and becomes smooth.
Add sweetener or Kool-Aid if desired and mix well.
Pour into a dish or mold and refrigerate for 3–4 hours until firm.
Cut into cubes or scoop gently and serve chilled.
