Cake Batter Coffee Syrup
  1. In a small saucepan, pour in 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar.

  2. Turn the heat to medium and whisk gently until the sugar dissolves.

  3. Drop in 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Stir until melted and combined.

  4. Remove from heat. Stir in 2 tsp vanilla extract and ¼ tsp almond extract.

  5. Whisk in 2 tbsp dry powdered milk and a pinch of salt until smooth.

  6. Let the syrup cool, then pour into a jar or bottle.
