Stir in the water, soy sauce, and fish sauce. Bring to a boil.
Add the jasmine rice, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18 minutes.
Top the cooked rice with fresh green beans, cover, and steam for an additional 5 minutes or until the beans are crisp-tender.
Stir in the fresh basil leaves.
In a separate pan, fry the eggs to your desired doneness.
Serve the one-pot Thai-style rice with a fried egg on top, if desired, and bird's eye chilis for added spice.
