  1. Mix the shrimp with garlic powder, onion powder, ground black pepper and cornstarch.

  2. Fry the shrimp for 2-3 minutes at 400F until crispy on the outside but not overcooked on the inside.

  3. Place the fried shrimp on a cooling rack to stay crispy.

  4. In a pan or wok, add oil, garlic, jalapeño and shallots. When fragrant, toss in the shrimp.

  5. Sprinkle the salt and pepper seasoning (salt, black pepper, sugar) over the shrimp and toss to coat.
