Salisbury Steak Casserole
  1. Add 6 chopped potatoes to a pot, cover with water and boil for 20 minutes until fork tender.

  2. In a large oven-safe pan, add 1 pound of ground beef and break it up.

  3. Season the ground beef with thyme, oregano, garlic salt, paprika, and black pepper.

  4. Add in ½ small onion, sliced, and 1 package of Lipton onion mix. Mix well and cook for 8 minutes until fully cooked.

  5. In a measuring glass, mix 2 cups of water with 2 packets of brown gravy mix. Whisk until combined.

  6. Pour the gravy mixture into the pan with the cooked beef and let it simmer until thickened.

  7. Drain the cooked potatoes and add them back to the pot. Mash them with 4 tbsp of butter.

  8. Add heavy whipping cream to the mashed potatoes and season with salt and pepper. Mix well.

  9. Top the beef mixture with the mashed potatoes and smooth it out.

  10. Bake the casserole at 350°F for 10 minutes.

  11. Top the casserole with sliced green onions.
