In a small saucepan combine vegan sugar and water, and bring to a boil stirring until sugar dissolves.
Add cranberries and cherries and return to a boil. Then reduce to medium low heat, stirring occasionally, until the fruit bursts and mixture is thickened, about 15 minutes. Stir in orange zest.
Remove from heat and let cool completely. (It will thicken up more as it cools).
