Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 13x9 inch baking pan.
Combine yellow cake mix, 2 eggs, butter, and vanilla in a large bowl; mix well. The batter should be stiff.
Spread batter into the prepared pan. Spray the back of your spreader with cooking spray to make spreading easier.
Combine confectioners' sugar, cream cheese, and the remaining 2 eggs in a separate bowl; mix well.
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the top of the cake batter. Do not stir.
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 35 minutes.
Let the cake cool completely for at least a couple hours before cutting.
