  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, yeast, and salt.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, warm milk, honey, and egg.

  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

  4. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes.

  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

  6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.

  7. Place the loaf in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan, cover with the kitchen towel, and let it rise again until doubled, about 30-45 minutes.

  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

  9. Bake the loaf for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
