Prepare Stew
Layer mushrooms and onion in slow cooker.
Top with beef.
Whisk together beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Pour mixture over beef and vegetables. Stir to coat.
Cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or on HIGH for 4–5 hours.
Stir stew. Taste and adjust seasoning.
