Cheddar Jalapeño Chicken Burgers With Guacamole
  1. Preheat an indoor or outdoor grill to medium heat.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine the ground chicken, onion, cilantro, garlic, jalapeño, cumin, paprika, cheddar cheese, salt and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until everything is evenly incorporated, being careful not to overmix. Form the mixture into four ½-inch-thick patties.

  3. Place the patties on the grill and cook until cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 F.

  4. Toast the burger buns on the grill during the last 1 to 2 minutes of cooking.

  5. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a toasted bun, then topping with guacamole, sour cream if using, and any additional toppings you love. Serve immediately.
