Shoyu Garlic Rice
  1. Measure 2 cups of rice and add water according to your rice cooker's recommendation, minus ¼ cup

  2. Add ¼ cup shoyu (soy sauce) and 3 tbsp mirin to the rice

  3. Mince 4-5 garlic cloves and add to the rice

  4. Add 1.5 tsp onion powder and ½ diced onion to the rice

  5. Cut ¾ lb chicken into bite-sized pieces and add to the rice

  6. Use the white/brown rice setting on your rice cooker

  7. Cook until the rice cooker cycle is complete
