Measure 2 cups of rice and add water according to your rice cooker's recommendation, minus ¼ cup
Add ¼ cup shoyu (soy sauce) and 3 tbsp mirin to the rice
Mince 4-5 garlic cloves and add to the rice
Add 1.5 tsp onion powder and ½ diced onion to the rice
Cut ¾ lb chicken into bite-sized pieces and add to the rice
Use the white/brown rice setting on your rice cooker
Cook until the rice cooker cycle is complete
