Portuguese Roll Recipe
  1. Mix the wet ingredients into a medium sized bowl or measuring jug with sugar and yeast. Stir, cover and set aside.

  2. In a medium bowl add in the four, salt and butter, pour in the yeast mixture and mix. KNEAD KNEAD KNEAD! For atleast 10/15 minutes by hand or ⅝min by a stand up mixer.

  3. After kneading put your dough in a clean bowl, cover and let your dough rest for 30min

  4. After 30 min, pinch down your dough to let the air out, cut your dough into 12 equal balls.

  5. Shape the dough into balls then lightly press them down with your palm, slightly cut down in the middle and pinch the edges. (WATCH VIDEO AS REFERENCE)

  6. Place the shaped rolls into a floured baking tray and cover for a further 30min. (Slightly dust flour on top so it doesn't stick on the cover)

  7. Bake at 180•c for 20min
