Makes a 9X13” pan (can be halved)
Grease and flour the pan.
Cream together:
½ Cup Butter, soft
⅔ Cup Sugar
Add and beat well:
2 eggs
Add and stir in:
1 Cup corn meal
Sift together:
1 ½ Cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
Stir into butter/egg mix alternately with:
1 ½ Cup milk
Mix well, batter will be pretty liquid.
Pour into prepared pan and bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until edges are faintly brown and have come away from the pan.
