Yucatán Quick Pickled Red Onions
  1. Slice the red onions thinly.

  2. In a small saucepan, combine the vinegar, water, sugar, salt, cumin, and oregano.

  3. Bring the mixture to a boil.

  4. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

  5. Place the sliced onions in a jar or container.

  6. Pour the pickling liquid over the onions.

  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour before using.
