Lemon Lime Cake With Fresh Lime Whipped Cream
  1. Preheat oven to 350.

  2. Cream butter, sugar, and eggs together until fluffy.

  3. Add vanilla and zest and combine until mixed.

  4. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.

  5. Add the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  6. Add the lemon and lime juice and thoroughly mix.

  7. Once mixed, add milk and beat until combined.

  8. Pour into an 8×8 or 9×9 square cake pan and bake for 30-35 mins at 350.

  9. Let cool completely.

  10. In the bowl of an electric mixer, add cream, vanilla, sugar and lime zest.

  11. Beat until cream stiffens, about 5-6 minutes.

  12. Frost cake and refrigerate.
