Nigella Lawson's Chicken With Lemon And Orzo
  1. Start by untying the chicken, if it's bound, and remove any strings. Preheat the oven to 180ºC/160ºC Fan.

  2. Prep the vegetables: peel the garlic cloves, peel and cut the carrots into batons, clean the leeks and slice them.

  3. Heat oil in a casserole, brown the chicken, then add garlic, zest of lemons, tarragon, salt, chilli flakes, vegetables, and lemon juice.

  4. Pour in water, bring to a boil, cover, and cook in the oven for about 1¼ hours.

  5. Add orzo, stir, cover, and return to the oven for another 15 minutes until orzo is cooked through.

  6. Let the casserole rest. Stir in parsley, shred the chicken, and ladle into bowls, garnishing with more parsley and Parmesan.
