Mix water, honey, and yeast and let sit for a few minutes
In a large bowl mix warm milk, melted butter, salt, and flour
Add in yeast mixture and mix well
Knead for a few minutes until the dough is soft, slightly tacky, and forms a ball
Add a little flour if too sticky, but don't overdo it
Lightly oil your bowl and roll the dough ball in it
Cover and let rise for about an hour or until risen
Punch down the dough and knead on counter for a minute
Divide into 4 sections (or more for smaller subs)
Flatten out each section and roll up nice and tight, pinching the ends
Place on cookie sheet and cover for 20-30 minutes to let them poof up
Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes
Rub butter on the tops right away and let cool
Load them up and enjoy
