Filter out small particles of the flower by putting it through a colander.
Wash then strain the flower quickly, no need to wash them for more than 20 seconds.
Simmer 3 of the 7 cups of water until hot. Add in the hibiscus flowers and sugar and simmer for 3 minutes.
Take it off the heat and continue letting it steep for 25 minutes.
Once steeped, strain out the flowers from the liquid and allow to cool completely.
Add the remaining water into the cooled mixture and ice! Stir well until cold.
