  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) fan-forced.

  2. Grease and line a 24 × 13 cm (9½ × 5 in) loaf tin.

  3. Melt the butter over medium heat until golden and nutty (5–7 mins). Cool slightly.

  4. Whisk eggs and sugar until pale.

  5. Sift in flour, baking powder and salt, fold gently.

  6. Stir in browned butter, pour into tin and bake 50–55 mins until golden.

  7. Cool before slicing.
